HAITI DISASTER RELIEF
Jan 15, 10

Dear Donor:

We have received numerous requests for information on how to help provide relief to people suffering as a result of the earthquake in Haiti. Below is information on two local nonprofit agencies, both recent grantees of The Dallas Foundation who have been fully vetted and who are providing immediate solutions and relief in Haiti.

If you would like to make a donation to either Aidmatrix or Texas Baptist Men, you may do so through your donor advised fund. You may also donate directly to either organization by following the instructions below. Please let us know if we can provide any assistance.

The Aidmatrix Network® for Humanitarian Relief is a commitment formed between Aidmatrix and its partners to empower the efficient delivery of humanitarian relief. In a nutshell, Aidmatrix is an expert in donations management technology, matching resources to those in need.

Communications and connectivity are difficult at present in Haiti as relief teams are still making their way to the area. But, through Aidmatrix, you can donate specifically to Aidmatrix partners who are currently on the ground in Haiti, providing relief.

To donate, go to http://www.aidmatrix.org/haiti, and complete the following steps:

· select financial donation

· choose your amount

· click checkout

· click “donate now”

· complete the online form and select Aidmatrix or any of their nonprofit partners working in Haiti from the drop down recipient menu

· complete your donation by clicking “donate” at the bottom of the form

Texas Baptist Men (TBM) trains volunteers and coordinates efforts in providing prompt assistance to disaster victims. The organization has been involved in disaster relief in Texas and around the world since 1967.

As of today, TBM is waiting for clearance to fly portable water purification systems that have been purchased and packaged to provide drinkable water in Haiti. Each system costs $30 and TBM has spent $150,000 to send 5,000 water systems to Haiti. You can help offset this cost by making a donation in any amount either online:

or by check to:
